Suggested Reading: Scott Berinato's Good Charts

If you're looking for a great book on basic data visualization skills, I highly recommend Scott Berinato's book, Good Charts. It's not just for designers either. Scott's book is light on theory and heavy on practical suggestions to help anyone use visuals to convey their ideas more effectively. This can translate to software interfaces, slide decks, content marketing, or any other medium. Even if you don't create a lot of visual content today in your role, reading this text may make you more effective at being able to eyeball strengths and weaknesses in the data or analytics software product that you work on.

I would definitely buy the physical book so you can get all the visual examples that are integral to understanding the content. Here's the Amazon link.

Until next time, good luck with your designs!
